First published in German in 1812 by the Grimm brothers, this French translation of the original version of Snow White is a far cry from the song and dance interpretation made famous by Disney. Like all older works of literature, there are some words no longer in modern use and some less-common verb structures throughout the story. That's why it's useful to have explanations and translations in margins and between the lines - you can focus on reading without stopping to look things up!
